New phone: How do I take my account with me?

You take your twonly account to a new phone with a backup. Set it up while you still have your old phone: without a backup set up beforehand, your account cannot be restored.

What gets transferred

• Contacts and messages are included in the backup.
• Pictures are not included in the backup. You transfer them with Memories Backup or manually.

On your old phone

1. Set up a backup: Back up your account either with a password or with the passwordless backup, where trusted friends help you restore it.
2. Save your pictures: Turn on Memories Backup or export your pictures manually.

On your new phone

1. Restore your account: Install twonly and restore your account from your backup. With the passwordless backup, your trusted contacts confirm the recovery.
2. Get your pictures back: With Memories Backup, you restore your pictures from the cloud. If you exported them manually, import them again in the settings.
